C014CS2 is a compact screw-top quartz cuvette for methods that call for a 1 mm optical path and a covered sample chamber. This option combines JGS1 quartz, Four-Way Light geometry and a 350 µL nominal capacity, so you can load through the threaded neck, fit the PTFE cap and still keep optical access from four sides. It is sold as 1 cuvette.

Using this cell

Fill the sample through the threaded neck and fit the supplied PTFE screw cap when your procedure calls for the cell to be covered during handling or measurement. Keep the optical faces clean on the outside, and remove visible bubbles from the beam area before placing the cell in the holder.

The 350 µL value is the nominal cell capacity. It should not be treated as a minimum working volume, so for low fill conditions you should still check that the liquid level covers the beam path used in your instrument.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces for dust, residue or handling marks before first use. Rinse with a solvent suitable for your method, run a blank in the same orientation you will use for the sample, and confirm that the filled sample covers the active beam area.

Fit and optical alignment

The rectangular body is 12.5 × 3.5 × 38 mm, with a 12.5 × 3.5 mm base. Overall height is 54 mm without the cap and 58 mm with the cap fitted, which is useful when checking holder slot size and top clearance around the neck and cap.

Z Height is not stated for this cuvette. If your holder or instrument depends on a defined beam-center height from the base, that alignment point should be checked before ordering rather than assumed from the outer body dimensions.

Solvents and cleaning
