C022WS1 is a JGS1 quartz ultra-micro cuvette for UV/Vis work where a short 2 mm optical path and a very small sample volume are part of the method. This open-top cell combines a 28 µL nominal capacity with a compact body and a straightforward Two-Way Light layout, making it suitable for direct pipette loading in a small transmission cell.

The body dimensions are 4.5 × 12.5 × 35 mm, which helps when checking holder clearance in compact accessories or tight compartments. It is specified for UV/Vis spectroscopy over 200–2500 nm.

Using this cell

Fill from the top with a fine pipette tip and make sure the illuminated region is fully covered before measurement. Because the nominal capacity is only 28 µL, bubbles, uneven filling and droplets on the optical faces can affect the result more quickly than in a larger cell.

Use a consistent loading approach for blanks and samples, and keep the cell orientation consistent between runs. The 28 µL value is a nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and top opening for dust or residue.
Rinse with a suitable water-based cleaning liquid used in your method.
Seat the cuvette in the holder and confirm that the beam passes through the intended sample region.
Run a blank before routine measurements.

Fit and optical alignment

Avoid organic samples and organic cleaning solvents with this adhesive-bonded assembly. Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning, and wipe the outer optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
