Description

The C022WS1 is a quartz ultra-micro cuvette with 2mm path length and two-way light optical configuration — two opposite vertical faces are polished to optical grade, forming the standard transmission geometry for UV-Vis absorbance measurements. With a 28ul internal volume (10 × 2 × 34 mm chamber), the cell is compatible with most commercial spectrophotometers. Fabricated using Standard 80 (>80% transmittance) — precision-glued quartz construction, an industry-proven assembly method. The Z dimension (beam center height) is 8.5mm2mm from the cell bottom — verify compatibility with your instrument’s beam height before ordering. Features a black-walled ultra-micro design with a dramatic V-shaped funnel that channels just 28ul into the 2mm measurement zone. The 8.5mm beam height and black masking ensure precise optical alignment and stray-light rejection.

Why Two-Way Light?

Two-way light cuvettes have two opposite vertical faces polished to optical grade, forming the standard transmission geometry for UV-Vis absorbance measurements. The remaining two faces are frosted to minimize stray-light interference, providing clean baseline performance for quantitative spectrophotometry.

Why Open Top?

This cuvette features an open-top design without a cap or cover, providing unrestricted access to the sample chamber for easy filling, mixing, and cleaning. Standard 80 offers a cost-effective entry point with reliable, repeatable results under normal operating conditions.

Usage Tips

Rinse with a compatible solvent (e.g., ethanol or the measurement solvent) before first use to remove any residual particles.
Do not use abrasive materials or brushes on the polished optical faces — wipe gently with lens tissue.
Suitable for aqueous (water-based) solutions only. Do not use with organic solvents, strong acids, or strong bases.
Store in the original protective case to prevent scratches on the optical windows.
For baseline correction, fill with your reference solvent, and run a blank before sample measurements.
