Quartz 50mm Standard Cuvette With Lid, 125ml, Sintered 83, Two-way Light, Quartz Cover, 1pc/ea, C502CR8
USD$179.00 USD$162.00
Quartz 50 mm high-capacity cuvette, 125 ml, Sintered 83 (>83% transmittance). Two-Way Light. Includes quartz lid. 190–2500 nm. SKU: C502CR8. In Stock.
Description
Capable of holding 125 ml of sample solution, the C502CR8 features a 50 mm path length optimized for quantitative spectroscopy. Constructed with Sintered 83 — sintered from high-purity quartz with >83% transmittance, ensuring minimal background absorption across the full UV-Vis-NIR range. The cell provides two opposite faces polished to optical grade for standard transmission measurements. Includes a precision-ground quartz lid that sits flush atop the cuvette, reducing evaporation of volatile solvents and protecting samples from airborne contamination during measurement.

Applications
Why Two-Way Light?
Two-way light cuvettes have two opposite vertical faces polished to optical grade, forming the standard transmission geometry for UV-Vis absorbance measurements. This is the most common and cost-effective configuration for routine spectrophotometry.
Why Sintered 83?
Sintered 83 cuvettes are fabricated by sintering high-purity quartz at extreme temperatures, achieving >83% transmittance with exceptional optical clarity. The sintering process creates a robust, chemically resistant structure that withstands repeated exposure to aggressive solvents, concentrated acids, and bases (avoid HF).
Rinse with a compatible solvent (e.g., ethanol or the measurement solvent) before first use to remove residual particles. Do not use abrasive materials on polished optical faces — wipe gently with lens tissue. Withstands all common laboratory solvents, concentrated acids, and bases. Avoid HF (hydrofluoric acid). Store in the original protective case to prevent scratches on the optical windows.
