Tandem Quartz Cuvette: Planning Two Sample Chambers (MQQFL017)
Custom design guide · MQQFL017
MQQFL017 places two separate loading chambers in one rectangular cell. This version has a 1 mm partition and a stated nominal capacity of 1575 µL per chamber. Selection starts with what each chamber holds and how the intended light path passes through the cell.
The situations and proposed changes below are planning examples, not completed customer projects.

Put the two samples and beam on one sketch
Two preparations can be loaded separately while sharing one external cell body. That makes a tandem cell worth discussing when a proposed method needs two sample spaces in a defined arrangement. The partition determines the separation; the instrument arrangement determines which regions the light actually traverses.
For example, a loading record could identify the contents of chambers 1 and 2 and the cell's orientation in the holder. The optical sketch should then show whether the beam encounters one chamber or multiple regions, with an appropriate blanking procedure. Separate loading does not by itself create independent optical measurements or automatic mixing.

Keep the partition and capacity tied to this version
This SKU uses a 1 mm partition. Its stated internal dimensions are 10 × 4.5 × 43 mm for each chamber, within a 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm external body. Other partition versions in the product family need their own dimensions and photographs.
The listed 1575 µL is a nominal value per chamber. The source does not explain its working liquid level or its relationship to the full internal dimensions. Confirm that definition when capacity is important, rather than replacing the nominal value with a rectangular-volume calculation.

Make one chamber wider while naming what stays fixed
A request for unequal chamber sizes needs a fixed reference: the external footprint, the target sample volume or the required optical route. Show the preferred widths and partition location without assuming that all three can remain unchanged.
An unequal-volume request should say whether one preparation needs more space or whether the partition must move to suit the optics. Include access for loading and emptying each chamber. If separation during use is critical, provide the medium, duration and orientation so that an appropriate isolation check can be agreed.

Checks to agree before ordering
- Chamber identity: Assign dimensions and nominal capacities to chambers 1 and 2 separately.
- Optical route: Define the traversed regions and blanking procedure for the actual method.
- Capacity and separation: Confirm working-volume definitions and agree any required isolation check.
Sample and cleaning conditions
Agree sample and cleaning conditions for the complete item, including wetted caps, seals and fittings. Give chemical identity, concentration, temperature and contact time. Avoid hydrofluoric acid; strong alkalis, heat and prolonged exposure also need review. A JGS1 material label alone does not establish suitable operating conditions.
