Long-Neck Quartz Cuvette: Reaching the Sample Above the Holder
CUSTOM DESIGN GUIDE · C102WS2
C102WS2 extends a 10 mm optical body with a long access neck. The lower body is 45 mm high, while the uncapped overall height is 95 mm. This form is useful as a design reference when the cell sits low in a holder but filling access needs to remain above it.

Keep the measurement low and bring the opening upward
Raising a whole cuvette to reach its opening also moves the measurement region. A long neck addresses a different problem: the lower body can remain at its intended location while access extends above the surrounding holder or compartment.
The reference has a 12.5 × 12.5 mm base and a nominal 3.5 mL chamber. The 95 mm uncapped height is the complete outline, not the optical-body height or the beam centre. This distinction is the starting point for choosing an access height.

Outside diameter and bore answer different questions
The neck is 8 mm outside diameter and 6 mm inside diameter. The outside size governs clearance through a cover or near surrounding parts. The bore determines the route available to liquid and the tool entering the neck.
For example, a sampling tool may clear the outside compartment yet be unsuitable for the internal route or reach. Drawing the tool in its working position relates the opening to the lower sample chamber without assuming that overall height equals usable insertion depth.
The neck is a mixed-material assembly
The construction includes a glass upper tube, a transition section and a quartz lower tube. It should therefore be specified as that assembly, not renamed an all-quartz long-neck cell. The material boundary remains relevant to sample contact and a proposed cleaning procedure.
The opening is uncapped in this reference. A proposed stopper or mating component adds to the outline and changes access. The useful custom design combines those upper details with the unchanged location of the lower measurement region.
A custom example: reach through an instrument cover
ILLUSTRATIVE DESIGN EXAMPLE
Suppose the optical body sits at the correct height, but an access opening in the instrument cover is higher. A proposed neck can retain the lower chamber and place its opening at the required level. The cover clearance, neck bore, sampling tool and material transition appear together in the drawing.
