Description

MQQFC003 is the four-tube option in the JGS1 quartz Flow Cell series. It combines a 1 mm optical path and 1.2 mL nominal cell capacity with tube connections on the ends and sides. The number of tubes describes the physical connections, not four independently measured optical channels.

Choose this option

  • Choose this option when your layout requires four tube connections around a flat, short-path flow cell.
  • Compare with the two-tube MQQFC002 option for a simpler connection layout. Select the connection pattern from your fluid circuit; a confirmed internal routing drawing is still required before assigning inlet and outlet functions.

What makes this option different

  • Four tube connections: 3 mm outside diameter and 1 mm inside diameter. These are tube dimensions, not the width of the optical cell or its sample gap.
  • 1 mm path; 1.2 mL nominal capacity: the optical path and nominal cell volume are separate from connection bore and total circuit volume.
  • Projecting tubes: the drawing gives a 66 × 25 × 5 mm cell body and spans of 106 mm lengthwise and 63 mm across the side tubes. Reserve space for tubing beyond those spans.

Using the cell in a fluid circuit

Confirm the internal flow route, which ports will be connected and how any unused ports will be handled before assembly. Flow rate, operating pressure and a prescribed port-plugging method have not been established for this option; choose the circuit conditions after that check.

Once the connections and operating conditions are confirmed, establish a repeatable blank and sample procedure. Check the optical region for trapped bubbles and residual liquid. The 1.2 mL figure is nominal cell capacity, not a measured dead volume or the amount needed to exchange all liquid in a connected circuit.

First-use check

  1. Inspect all four tubes and their junctions for chips or damage.
  2. Confirm the circuit routing, connection method and operating limits before installing tubing.
  3. Prepare the blank under the confirmed setup and inspect the beam region for bubbles before comparing samples.

Fit and clearance around all four tubes

Check both the cell-body support and the 106 × 63 mm projected tube envelope shown in the drawing. Leave room for the tubing connection and its bend radius; the body dimensions alone cannot establish installation clearance.

Send the holder dimensions, tubing material/bore, desired routing, pump pressure and flow rate for a connection check. The source does not provide a connector standard, validated hose fit, clear aperture or Z Height. Support the cell and attached tubing so the narrow tubes are not used as load-bearing handles.

Solvents and cleaning — Standard 80

The source identifies adhesive-bonded construction, mapped to Standard 80. Sample and cleaning liquids contact an assembly whose joints must be considered. Do not adopt an organic-solvent rinse, aggressive cleaner, heated wash or extended soaking until those conditions have been checked for this cell.

Include the tubing and any seals or adapters in the compatibility check; their suitability cannot be inferred from quartz alone. Provide chemical names, concentrations, temperatures and contact times. As a general quartz precaution, avoid hydrofluoric acid and handle exterior optical faces with non-abrasive optical tissue.

Included with this option

One MQQFC003 four-tube Flow Cell. The price is for one cell; external hoses, adapters, plugs and a pump are not confirmed as part of this option.

For selection support, send your circuit sketch, holder dimensions, tubing specification and proposed pressure/flow conditions. If you require a measured path, dimensional report or other inspection documentation, state its scope and acceptance criteria before ordering. Send a product-selection enquiry with SKU MQQFC003, quantity and delivery destination.

Availability and ordering

Stock may not be immediately available for this specialised configuration. You can order the listed specification directly, or contact us first to confirm availability and any preparation or production wait.

For a time-sensitive order, please check timing with us before checkout. Preparation or production time is separate from carrier transit.

Discuss a custom version

For a flow-cell design, specify the tube count, positions, OD and ID, connection method and intended fluid routing. Include the operating pressure, flow rate, temperature and sample chemicals so the proposed assembly can be reviewed.

We coordinate custom JGS1 quartz production for requirements involving dimensions, optical path length, sample volume, optical windows or Z Height, closures and connections, fabrication and tolerances. Send a dimensioned drawing or labelled sketch and identify the dimensions and tolerances that are critical to your application.

Prototype batches typically involve 2–4 cells. The final quantity, feasibility, specifications, fabrication, inspection requirements, price and production time are confirmed in the project quotation. The displayed price applies to the listed SKU and pack quantity; modified designs and prototype batches are quoted separately.

Discuss a custom version. You can start with a sketch, reference photograph or instrument and holder information if you do not yet have a complete drawing. Include the required quantity and target date with your enquiry.
