Using this cell

Fill the cuvette so the intended measurement region is fully covered and free of bubbles, then place it in the holder in a consistent orientation for both blank and sample readings. Keep the optical faces clean and avoid dried residue across the window areas.

This item is supplied with a closure for closed-top handling. Seat the closure gently after filling and check that it is positioned correctly before moving the cuvette. The 1.05 mL figure is the nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume, so the actual fill level should be set by your beam position and measurement setup.

First-use check

Inspect the optical faces and top opening area before the first measurement.
Test-fit the empty cuvette in the holder and check top clearance with the closure in place.
Run a blank in your intended measurement orientation before loading sample.

Fit and optical alignment

The external dimensions are 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm, with a 12.5 × 12.5 mm base. This shorter body height is the main dimension to check if your holder, clamp or instrument cover has limited vertical space around the cell position.

The stated 3 mm sample region should be checked against your beam footprint, especially if your instrument uses a narrow or fixed beam position. Z Height is not specified for this cuvette, so setups that depend on a defined beam centre height should be checked before ordering.

Solvents and cleaning
