Quartz 10mm Micro Fluorescence Cuvette, 1.05 ml, Standard 80, Four-Way Light, PTFE Cap, 1pc/ea, C104CS54
Description
The C104CS54 is a quartz micro fluorescence cuvette with 10 mm path length and four optically polished faces, offering 90° fluorescence capability and a 1.05 ml working volume at the lowest cost per cell in the 1.05 ml fluorescence range. The 3 mm interior width retains the full 10 mm optical path for Beer–Lambert quantification while using only 30% of the sample required by a standard 3.5 ml cell. Standard 80 precision-glued construction provides >80% transmittance across 190–2500 nm — adequate for routine fluorescence assays, undergraduate laboratory courses, and high-throughput biological screening where dozens of cuvettes may be in use simultaneously. Sealed with a PTFE cap.

Applications
Affordable Four-Way Fluorescence
Standard 80 precision-glued construction keeps the per-unit cost well below sintered and molded alternatives while providing the same four-polished-face geometry needed for 90° fluorescence measurements. For laboratories measuring aqueous biological samples — protein solutions, nucleic acid preparations, dye-labeled conjugates in buffer — the adhesive bond is fully compatible and the >80% transmittance delivers clean baselines. This is the sensible choice when equipping a teaching lab with 20+ cuvettes or stocking a QC bench for daily throughput. Note: the adhesive bonds are designed for aqueous samples only. For organic solvents or aggressive reagents, choose Sintered 83 or Molded 83.
Why Micro Volume?
Internal quartz masking walls narrow the measurement chamber to 3 mm while maintaining the full 10 mm optical path (Beer–Lambert law: A = εlc). This saves 70% of sample compared to a standard 3.5 ml cuvette, reducing reagent costs across large batches of measurements. The micro volume design keeps the sample at full column height — compatible with all spectrophotometer beam heights (8.5 mm, 15 mm, or 20 mm) without verification.
