(C012CS3) Quartz Ultra-Micro Cuvette, 1 mm Path, 75 µL
Original price was: $190.00.$171.00Current price is: $171.00.
C012CS3 is a JGS1 quartz ultra-micro cuvette with a 1 mm optical path, a 75 µL nominal capacity and an open-top format for direct filling. Its narrow 3 mm sample channel and Two-Way Light layout suit UV/Vis work where a compact measurement region is preferred. Supplied as 1 cuvette per listed price unit.
Description
C012CS3 is a JGS1 quartz ultra-micro cuvette for UV/Vis measurements from 200 to 2500 nm. It combines a 1 mm optical path with a 75 µL nominal capacity and a narrow 3 mm sample channel, giving you a compact open-top cell for small-volume work without tubing or a separate cover assembly.
This format is useful when you want direct top access and a slim body footprint at the measurement position. The adhesive-bonded quartz construction also makes sample chemistry and cleaning method part of the selection decision, not just the optical path.

Choose this option
Choose C012CS3 when your method needs a short 1 mm path in a narrow ultra-micro sample region and you want to fill the cell directly from above. The 75 µL nominal capacity supports small-volume handling, while the slim body profile can help where holder clearance is limited in one direction. This is a Two-Way Light cell for transmission measurements through two opposite optical faces.
What makes this option different
- 1 mm optical path for short-path transmission methods.
- 75 µL nominal capacity in an ultra-micro open-top format.
- 3 mm sample channel for a narrow measurement region that is filled from above.
- Two-Way Light layout for standard transmission access through opposite faces.
- Adhesive-bonded JGS1 quartz construction, which is typically chosen for room-temperature aqueous samples and buffers rather than organic-solvent routines.
Using this cell
Fill the cell from the top and make sure the liquid covers the illuminated region used by your instrument. With a narrow sample channel and small nominal capacity, careful pipetting and bubble control matter, especially if you are working close to the lower filled region.
Keep the same orientation for blank and sample measurements, and inspect the optical faces for droplets or residue before each run. The open top gives direct access for filling and rinsing, but it is not a sealed format for inversion or pressure use.
First-use check
- Inspect the optical faces and body for chips, residue or scratches.
- Test the seated fit in your holder before preparing critical samples.
- Run a blank at your working wavelength and confirm that the filled sample region covers the beam without bubbles.
Fit and optical alignment
The body is 12.5 × 3.5 × 45 mm, so this cell is much slimmer in one direction than a square-body cuvette. That helps when checking holder slot width and side clearance, but instrument fit should still be matched to your actual beam position.
The listed 25 mm dimension relates to the lower channel or window region in the source drawing, not to beam-center height. Z Height is not specified for this item, so do not assume alignment from overall body height alone. The 75 µL figure is a nominal capacity, not a minimum working volume.
Solvents and cleaning
This cuvette uses Standard 80 adhesive-bonded quartz construction. It is typically selected for room-temperature water-based samples and buffers. If your method uses organic solvents, or if cleaning requires organic agents, this construction needs checking before use.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. Rinse promptly after use and wipe the exterior optical faces gently with non-abrasive optical tissue.
Included with this option
