(C012CS5) Quartz Ultra-Micro Cuvette, 1 mm Path, 10 µL
Original price was: $190.00.$171.00Current price is: $171.00.
C012CS5 is a quartz ultra-micro cuvette with a 1 mm optical path, 10 µL nominal capacity and Two-Way Light geometry. This version uses a narrow 1 mm sample channel in a slim 12.5 × 3.5 × 35 mm body and includes a PTFE closure. Sold as 1 cuvette per listed price unit.
Description
C012CS5 is a quartz ultra-micro cuvette for UV/Vis measurements that need a short 1 mm optical path and a very small nominal sample volume. Its 10 µL nominal capacity, 1 mm sample channel and slim 12.5 × 3.5 × 35 mm body make it suitable for setups where both sample region and holder space are tightly constrained. The open-top format and included PTFE closure support direct filling and routine handling.

Choose this option
Choose C012CS5 when your method calls for a 1 mm path in quartz and you want a narrow ultra-micro cell rather than a square standard-body format. The combination of a 1 mm sample channel, 10 mm Z Height and slim 3.5 mm body thickness matters in practice: it affects how the beam enters the sample region, how carefully the liquid must be loaded, and whether your holder can accept the body shape.
What makes this option different
- 1 mm optical path for methods that require a short path length rather than a conventional 10 mm cell.
- 10 µL nominal capacity suits very small sample amounts in an ultra-micro format.
- 1 mm sample channel creates a narrow sample region that should be filled carefully and kept free of bubbles.
- Two-Way Light geometry provides a direct transmission path through opposing optical faces.
- 10 mm Z Height sets the beam centre from the cell base for holder matching.
- PTFE closure included with open-top access for routine covering after filling.
- 12.5 × 3.5 × 35 mm body gives a slim profile for space-limited holders.
Using this cell
Load the sample carefully so the narrow channel is fully filled across the illuminated region. In a small sample region like this, trapped air, droplets on the optical faces or dried residue can disturb the transmission path more easily than in a larger chamber.
Use the same orientation for blank and sample measurements, and treat the PTFE closure as a cover for normal handling rather than as a pressure-rated fitting. The 10 µL value is the nominal capacity of the cell, not a minimum working volume specification.
First-use check
- Inspect the optical faces, channel opening and closure for dust or residue.
- Check that the cell seats properly in your holder without strain on the slim body.
- Run a blank to confirm beam alignment through the sample region.
- Verify that your filling method covers the beam path without trapped bubbles.
Fit and optical alignment
The body dimensions are 12.5 × 3.5 × 35 mm, so this cuvette is notably slimmer than a typical square micro cell. Check holder width, seating depth and top clearance before ordering, especially if your accessory was designed around a wider cuvette body.
The stated Z Height is 10 mm from the cell base to the optical centre. Match that reference to your instrument beam position so the light passes through the intended sample region rather than relying on external appearance alone.
Handling and cleaning
This cuvette uses adhesive-bonded quartz construction and is listed under Standard 80. It is commonly selected for routine water-based samples and buffers at room temperature. Avoid organic samples and organic cleaning solvents with this adhesive-bonded cell.
Do not use hydrofluoric acid on quartz. Avoid hot strong alkalis and abrasive cleaning. If your sample chemistry, cleaning method or closure contact conditions are demanding, please check the full assembly suitability before use.
Included with this option
1 cuvette per listed price unit. Closure included.
